New Signing Mar 10, 2010
Bankies today completed the signing of 27 year old midfielder Billy Jones from Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.

Billy played 43 times in the last couple of seasons in the West Premier for Rabs - notching 7 goals. He also played for Maryhill, Renfrew and Rutherglen.

His signing is a welcome addition to the squad for what is likely to be a hectic close to the season. He's cup-tied for the Scottish but can obviously play in league games.

All at the club would like to extend a warm welcome to Billy and hope his stay here is very successful.

Vale of Clyde 1-0 Clydebank Mar 6, 2010
Clydebank crashed out of the West of Scotland Cup against Vale of Clyde and so ending the club's long unbeaten run.

The Bankies dominated proceedings and should have been several goals clear by the break with Cairney, Dymock and Mackie missing clear cut chances. Mackie was also unlucky to see his tap in chopped off with a narrow offside decision.

When Gary Lynn saw his second half penalty come off the post it was almost written in the stars that this was not to be the Bankies day. The Vale, who ended up with nine men on the park, rattled the Bankies with a last minute break away to seal passage to the next round.

The performance deserved more, with McInnes in particular having a fine game in midfield. However, with more pressing matters in the league and Scottish Cup, this result can be taken more philosophically than most.

In the league no one has been able to gain any further ground on the Bankies with Cumnock, Ashfield and Maybole all dropping points in the past two weeks. Although sitting in 7th position, the Bankies have a number of games in hand on all their rivals, with only a small margin of points to make up.
