BACKGROUND & AIMS

The creation of our Supporters Trust provides a vehicle for Clydebank fans to own a share in their club and for the members to work together to generate vital funds. The more people who pledge their support, the better chance we have of developing a successful Clydebank FC.

Much has been achieved in the short time the UCS Football Trust has been operating. On the park Clydebank FC have gained promotion twice, reached the final of the Sectional League Cup, reached the quarter final of the Scottish Junior Cup twice and in 2008/09 went 2 rounds better, going all the way to the final of the Scottish Junior Cup.

Off the park the Trust has supported the community through sponsorship of local amateur football teams and boys and girls football teams. The trust has also backed local charity campaigns. It has made presentations at the National Supporters Direct Conference in 2008 and 2009. Two Trust directors are involved with the Clydebank Community Sports Trust which in June 2009 brought out a Feasibility Study on a Community Sports Stadium for the town. The Trust has also set up a Junior Bankies section, runs the successful Bankies Lucky Numbers lottery, issues free tickets for Clydebank home games to local kids groups, runs the Club Shop and online shop, supplies all the team kit to the players and coaches, organises the annual Show Racism the Red Card day, maintains a membership of over 200 and provides vital funds to Clydebank FC.

The fresh challenge is to keep momentum going and to build upon what we have achieved. It is our chance to show other clubs how successful a football club can be when placed in the hands of the fans. If you haven't joined the Trust then please think about it. Best of all, the Trust members will have a real voice in Clydebank Football Club since the Trust has majority ownership.

The Trust Aims to:

Provide long-term stable and democratic ownership of the football club.

Generate funding for the purpose of investment in Clydebank FC.

Promote the club within the local community and pursue a new stadium facility in the town.

Be a role-model for other football trusts and forge links with other similar organisatons.

Make Clydebank FC flourish within Junior football.
