Montrose blasted their way through to a three-goal interval lead in their match against Clydebank at Links Park with Livingstone, Finn and Cramond doing the damage.
In the opening minute Thomson headed away when McGhee crossed into the Montrose goal.
McDonald twisted his ankle in Montrose's first raid which petered out when Finn crossed into & bunch of Clydebank players.
Next time up, Kemp was stopped by the whistle when he went into Madden too energetically.
Page got an early taste of the ball when he pulled Love's cross down from under the bar, and when the Montrose attack took over, McDonald did well to get a back-header into the goalmouth.
Left winger Caskie was guilty of a miss and had a slice of bad luck within a minute, He stumbled for a through pass and then hit the post with neat flick from a hard cross by O'Brien.
Montrose went ahead in 15 minutes. Madden could not hold a tremendous shot from LIVINGSTONE and the winger followed up to tap the ball home.
Craig and then Thomson rescued Montrose in their own goalmouth and a low shot by McGhee skidded over with no one reaching it.
Bankies should have been well ahead. McGhie got tangled up with his own feet in front of an open goal and when he did get in a shot Thomson had blocked the gap.
FINN scored in 30 minutes. The goal started off with a well-directed header from McDonald to the winger who went through on his own, his shot being deflected.
The goal was followed by an even better one in 40 minutes. Kemp controlled a long through pass from Livingstone and pushed it back to CRAMMOND whose shot from 25 yards never rose more than a foot.
Madden had had little to do apart from picking up these three shots.
McGhee took an early goal for Bankles going through as Montrose expected the winger to be whistled up for off-side.
Cramond was brought down by Gray but Ruddy cleared the free kick which the winger took himself.
Page showed plenty of confidence in the home goal and saved well from Caskie.
O'Brien and Caskie shared a bout of inter-passing, but Page saved the inside man's shot at the post.
Finn added a fourth just before the final whistle.
