Match Report

Queens delivered a ruthless attacking display in the first half to dismantle Clydebank. The visitors had no answer to Queens' well-organised and incisive play, which could have resulted in an even greater lead by half-time.

Queens wasted no time, scoring twice within the opening four minutes. Dick flicked home a perfect pass from Davison, and Jackson quickly followed up with a cool lobbed finish after McChesney's service.

The dominance continued for Queens throughout the first half. Dick, Collings, and Jackson all added further goals before the break, highlighting Queens' superiority in every aspect of the game.

The second half saw Queens take their foot off the gas. Although a reshuffled Clydebank side enjoyed slightly more possession, they remained unable to penetrate the resolute Queens defence.

Queens goalkeeper Ball was only troubled once, making a good save from a powerful shot by Moy. Clydebank goalkeeper Madden, along with McGhee, were arguably the only Clydebank players who matched the performance of the Dumfries side. Queens' half-backs and attackers, particularly Dick, Davison, and Law, were especially impressive.
