Match Report

Clydebank Press

Forfar looked ready to run Clydebank off the park in the first few minutes of this league game at Kilbowie on Wednesday night, but against the run of play Peter Kane scored from close in.

A minute before the half-time whistle Alan Munro netted no. 2 following the best move of the match. Denis Ruddy ran on to a Caskie throw-in, cut it back into the goalmouth and after the ball had broken loose after two shots had been blocked, Munro coolly tapped the ball home.

Peter Kane limped from the park in the 61st minute, to be replaced by McGhee and quarter of an hour later, the substitute scored the Bankies third. Forfar keeper Beatson could not hold a Wilson shot and McGhee netted on the rebound.
